Dit is een heruitgave van de cassette die Electric Party in 1982 uitbracht op het fameuze Fetisj label. Electric Party was het geesteskind van DJ Solo (René van Rijn: drummachine, synth, zang) en bassist Leo 'Low'Wernaert. Saxofonist Ed Zirkzee speelt mee met het duo, dat de maanden daarop uitgroeit tot een echte band. Monique Koolen zingt mee op Tension.

De muziek werd 's nachts opgenomen in de Amsterdamse Fetisj studio. De originele cassette met aanstekelijke, funky synth-pop is vrijwel onvindbaar en een enorm collectors item.

Omdat we niet over de originele mastertapes beschikken, is de muziek van een cassette gedigitaliseerd. Wout de Kruif heeft de nummers vervolgens geremasterd. De originele release was beperkt tot 50, maximaal 100 exemplaren; deze heruitgave is gelimiteerd tot 50 genummerde cassettebandjes.

Like many of you, I bought this on cassette in the early 80's and it was a guiding light to the electronic music of the decade. I had a black bomber jacket and I wrote B.E.F. on the back on large letters, with TIPEX! Class..........Wore it everywhere for years richkyd
